Raphael "Ray" B. Eaglin II is an associate in the firm’s Baton Rouge office and a member of the General Civil Litigation group.
A lifelong resident of the Baton Rouge area, Ray was born in the Old Woman’s Hospital, where his mother worked as nurse. He was raised in Iberville Parish and West Baton Rouge and graduated from Catholic High School in 2016. Thereafter, Ray attended Louisiana State University, where he was an active member of the Golden Band from Tigerland and the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. Ray earned both a Bachelor of Science in General Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, with a concentration in Law, Ethics, and Social Justice.
Ray continued his education at LSU’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center. During law school, he served on the Board of Advocates and participated in the Academic Tutoring Program, tutoring Professor Levasseur’s first-year Obligations course for two years. After his first year of law school, he studied abroad through LSU Law’s Summer in Lyon program at the Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 in Lyon, France. During his second year, Ray clerked at Roedel Parsons Blache Fontana Piontek & Pisano, assisting the firms’ General Civil Litigation and Public and Regulated Utilities practice groups. He also clerked at Bradley Murchison, gaining experience in various practice areas, including mitigation banks, title opinions, mineral rights, and expropriation proceedings. Ray earned his Juris Doctor and Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law, along with a Graduate Certificate in Estate Planning and Taxation, in 2025.
Outside of practice, Ray enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping, hiking, playing music, and fishing. He also volunteers with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife & Fisheries’ Aquatic Volunteer Instructor Program, working to conserve Louisiana’s aquatic and fisheries resources.
