Governmental Relations
Our Governmental Relations attorneys practice before administrative and legislative bodies of state and local government throughout Louisiana, including the Louisiana Legislature, the Louisiana Public Service Commission, the Department of Health and Hospitals, the Department of Insurance, the Department of Economic Development, and the Louisiana Insurance Rating Commission. Our clients' interests are diverse and include aviation, chemical, conservation, cultural, healthcare, maritime, media, oil and gas, railroad, regulated utilities, and other business and association interests.
The responsibilities assumed by our attorneys require us to stay abreast of both the law and practice of politics. Our attorneys work with firm clients to develop a well-researched, legally sound and appropriate governmental relations program enhanced by our unique understanding of the political process. The complexity of personal, professional, and business life is increasingly affected by local, state, and national political issues. Thus, we have dedicated a significant portion of our practice to the Governmental Relations section.
