  • The Firm congratulates Tim Hardy who was recently selected for inclusion in the Southern University Law Center Hall of Fame. Mr. Hardy leads our environmental law practice group. He will be formally inducted at the Law Center's spring banquet.

  • Our firm is pleased to welcome Tim Hardy, Joyce Matthews and Coley West to our practice effective July 11, 2011. Each of these very experienced attorneys brings a unique practice area which adds to the depth and talent of our firm.Mr. Hardy's areas of concentration are environmental law, regulatory and governmental affairs. He regularly represents local and national clients in litigation, regulatory matters and transactional projects. Mr. Hardy brings almost 30 years experience to our Firm and will lead the Firm’s environmental practice group. His complete bio is available on our website.

    Ms. Matthews' areas of concentration include environmental law and governmental affairs with an emphasis on regulatory matters in the legislative, judicial and administrative law arenas. She brings 20 years experience to our Firm and will work with Mr. Hardy as a shareholder in our environmental law practice group. Her complete bio is available on our website.

    Mr. W.L. "Coley" West's practice includes commercial, environmental and securities litigation. He brings more than 30 years of experience to our Firm with an emphasis on commercial and business litigation and also with experience in environmental and regulatory matters.   • We take this opportunity to recognize Tom Capella who serves as "Of Counsel" in our New Orleans office. Mr. Capella was recently elected to serve Jefferson Parish as its Assessor. Mr. Capella's career includes public service to his home parish as a member of the State Legislature, as a Council Member and now as the Assessor. Mr. Capella will continue to serve in his "Of Counsel" role in our New Orleans office as his time permits.

  • Roedel Parsons is pleased to announce that Tyron Picard will serve as "Special Counsel" for the Firm and will help lead the Firm's Lafayette Office. Mr. Picard brings 14 years of executive experience to the Firm from his position as Executive Vice President of Legal and Governmental Affairs for the Acadian Ambulance Service entities. Mr. Picard will office in Lafayette and will provide State and Federal lobbying, governmental relations and consulting in Lafayette, Baton Rouge, New Orleans and Washington, DC.
  • Our expropriation litigation team is at work securing title to hundreds of parcels of property in New Orleans to establish the footprint upon which the new Medical Center of Louisiana and Veterans Administration Hospital will be constructed. Under the leadership of Senior Partner, Kent Parsons, the expropriation team is securing title and filing expropriation suits to establish the footprint. Our Firm is pleased to be a part of the effort which will anchor a new health care corridor/medical complex in the city of New Orleans.
