Prior to Cary's career as a lobbyist at Roedel Parsons, he enjoyed a stellar professional football career as wide receiver in the Canadian Football League for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, the Edmonton Eskimos and the Hamilton Tigercats. Before playing professionally, he attended Tulane University on a full scholarship and in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, completed his studies and football eligibility at the University of Virginia as a wide receiver. In his career, he was selected repeatedly the "Offensive Player of the Game" and served as the Eskimos team captain for one season. As an athlete, Cary knows the value of dedication and hard work, which he has carried over into his professional career.

Cary predominately lobbies at the Louisiana Legislature, and works closely with his father, Johnny Koch for a host of distinguished clients including Deloitte Consulting, Louisiana Dental Association, Hospital Corporations of America, and DJI Technologies. Cary is the Executive Director of the Louisiana Craft Brewers Guild and uses his skills to manage a passionate group of breweries making an impact in this burgeoning industry across the state. He is also responsible for monitoring education and budget meetings closely and providing briefings and materials to respond to client needs.

Cary is a family man and enjoys the outdoors with his wife Tyler and their two kids Isabel and Noah. He is also a deeply rooted in the community and believes in teaching the value of hard work, teamwork, and character. He has spent time coaching football to kids of all ages, with an emphasis on developing life skills and continues his passion for athletics by providing sport and fitness training to kids, adults and professional athletes.
