Shelley Ann McGlathery is a native of Natchitoches, Louisiana, grew up in both Natchitoches and Lake Charles, Louisiana, and has lived in Baton Rouge since she began pursuing her undergraduate degree at Louisiana State University in 2002.

Shelley joined Roedel Parsons after graduating law school in 2009 and focuses her practice on civil litigation and appellate advocacy. She has spent most of her legal career as part of the team litigating the expropriation lawsuits that arose from the property acquisitions necessary for the new University Medical Center and Veterans Affairs Medical Center complexes constructed in Mid-City New Orleans, and has handled multiple jury and judge trials. Alongside her litigation practice, Shelley handles appellate matters, and has extensive experience in appellate motion practice and briefing before both state and federal courts.

Shelley is based in the Baton Rouge office, but also spends time working out of the New Orleans office. She has taught Continuing Legal Education courses, including a CLE on Attorney's Guide to Local Government Law - Eminent Domain Actions, and a CLE on public records and open meetings.

Shelley graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication: Journalism, and went on to receive her Juris Doctorate and Diploma of Civil Law from Louisiana State University's Paul M. Hebert Law Center. She and her husband, Ryan, live in Baton Rouge, with their son, Gray, and have a daughter, Johnnie Kate, on the way.
